The Role of the Job Coach in the Job Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities

EU.CAP is an Erasmus+ KA2 Project that lasts 30 months, from November 2019 to April 2022, involving partners from Belgium, Spain, Italy and France.

The EU.CAP project seeks to improve equal opportunities by aiming to improve employability and active participation in the Society of people with slight disabilities in the traditional economic sector.

EU.CAP aims to improve the professional profile of people with slight disabilities and their suitability for the job market. It aims to provide lasting benefits by developing an integration model based on the best practices detected in terms of employability of the target group, able to orient the professionals. In fact, the term “CAP” means “the direction to take”, and is originally a navy term. The project wishes to promote and develop among the target group competences (hard skills) and integration capacities (soft skills) in the professional environment, by combining internships observation, training, and employment.

The project tackles the complex issue of the “life project towards autonomy” for young persons with disability, highlighting the right to work inclusion into the open job market, as an indispensable part of this pathway.

The Intellectual Outputs are built around the key figure of the job coach, his/her roles, the requested competences and the recognition of the professional profile in different European countries.
